Rural Women's Community Sanitation Project 

Rural areas face a number of challenges that are unique to their environment. The government, despite its efforts to ensure better facilities, has not been able to tackle issues at the ground level. One such challenge faced by rural women, is a lack of adequate sanitation facilities designated for them in the prominent Tehsil office area.

Furthermore, rural women are required to visit govt. dept. offices regarding the Tehsil jurisdiction of land issues, the police station, block development & education offices and the forest office for various reasons. More so, they are made to wait for long hours and face much hardship due to a lack of sanitation facilities. Pregnant and menstruating women whether working in the offices or simply visiting, are at most risk for poor health and hygiene. While a general toilet facility may be found in such Tehsil dept. office areas, they are insufficient for these women and many a time lack basic washrooms too.
