Rohan Dalmia

Voices of good work reach out to many people around

Mr. Rohan Dalmia is a successful businessman and the former president of the Rotary Club of Downtown Sealand, Mumbai. This segment of the Rotary Club is focused on improving the quality of rural education and has partnered with LSF on multiple projects.

The Rotary Club of Downtown Sealand were the major sponsors for the English e-Learning project in 2018. As a result of their financial support, the ongoing e-Learning project has been executed across 95 schools and reached 2315 children. Rohan says that the Rotary Club is encouraged by the employees of schools who participated in the program, speak highly of it and are thankful for the project.

Rohan’s segment of the Rotary Club were also the major sponsors behind the Dream Center, an extension of Learning Space which allowed Learning Space programs such as English e-Learning, computer literacy, and Warli tribal art programs to be offered to more people. They have also partnered with other sectors of the Rotary Club in order to raise money to rebuild a rural school that has been devastated by floods.

Rohan speaks very highly of LSF and of Mr. Nitin Orayan, saying, “His work was brilliant.” He fondly recalls a time when the children of Learning Space travelled to Mumbai in order to perform a traditional dance for the Rotary Club members to thank them for their support, recalling, “I got goosebumps” from seeing the joyful children and parents.
