On a rainy Sunday morning in 2013, a gentleman walked in at the Learning Space office, and was eager to meet the Founder, Mr. Nitin Orayan. He had come to the office all the way from his village Parali about 30 km away seeking help for his daughter, Rutuja. She had been granted admission to at the Pravra College of Pharmacy in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, and he expressed his inability to afford the tuition and hostel fees for her course (in excess of Rs. 1 lakh per year over four years). As LSF did not have the required funds at their disposal, Nitin asked the gentleman to give him some time and expressed his desire to meet with Rutuja.

In two weeks, Nitin was able to collect the necessary funds through affiliating with a donor family in Mumbai. In 2017, Rutuja completed her graduation in Pharmacy. Soon after, she accompanied her basic graduation with a Master’s degree in Pharmacy. Today, she is flourishing in her career at a pharmaceutical company.
